The Valerie Semanie Foundation was born from Valerie's unwavering passion for education and her commitment to ensuring that all children can succeed. After relocating to Arizona, her family witnessed firsthand the positive impact that Catholic schools can have on students with learning challenges. Inspired by this experience, the foundation aims to provide vital resources and specialized equipment for children with learning disabilities, ensuring they have the support needed to thrive in an inclusive and nurturing educational environment.
With the generous support of our donors, the Valerie Semanie Foundation is proud to offer scholarships to families in Valerie's home state of Massachusetts. These scholarships empower families to obtain essential tools that enhance their children's learning experiences in the classroom or to cover the costs of outside therapies that schools may not be able to provide. By investing in these children’s futures, we are fostering an educational environment where every child has the opportunity to thrive and reach their full potential.
During Valerie's courageous battle with cancer, her motto was, 'No one fights alone.' Inspired by her strength, we have embraced this principle in our mission to support children in school. We believe that no child or teacher can navigate the challenges of learning alone; it truly takes a village to provide the comprehensive care and support that all students need. By fostering a collaborative community, we ensure that every child receives the resources, encouragement, and understanding necessary to thrive in their educational journey.
